Big Van World, how we deal with COVID-19

Considering the current situation with COVID-19, we want to reach out to our customer base, both existing and future, to share with you the steps we are taking to support you in these unprecedented times. Our priority is to ensure we help you or your business operate in this challenging market.

As people reduce their contact with others, online channels will be even more essential to connect with our customers. Indeed, in the last week we have seen traffic to our website significantly increase.

For many retailers, it is now even more important to achieve as much contact with customers as possible, both to service our customers as much as for us to solidify our position in the market, we will need to work together to stand any chance of achieving this.

Our large stock profile will help our customers find themselves the van they need and being able to contact us easily is imperative to us. We recommend you use all the available channels to contact us.

We are currently open as usual and whilst we are happy for customers to visit us, we are aware of keeping social interaction at a minimum is important, we are working with our great team at Big Van World to ensure that we are prepared for all scenarios. We’re closely monitoring the advice from Public Health England and are following the guidance from the Government. In the event our employees must work from home, we have the infrastructure in place for them to only be a phone call or text away.

To help strengthen this we are rolling out a No Contact delivery service, this works by way of our driver calling you when outside your property, having left the keys in the vehicle you can then check that you are happy with the vehicle confirm delivery via an email to the office and the van is yours, at no point during the handover is our driver within 2 metres of our customer and all of our drivers carry anti-bacterial wipes to wipe down the steering wheel, gear stick and key, whilst also removing the seat cover they have used, so no transfer of virus is possible.

These are challenging times for people and businesses, and we will do what we can't support you. If the UK goes into full "lock down", I will ensure we take additional measures to help your business.
