Electric vans have appeared not that long ago, but more and more manufacturers are issuing their electric versions.

Volkswagen will launch its e-Crafter in 2017

The new e-crafter will have a range of 120 miles and a cargo space of 11.3 cubic metres with a maximum payload of 1,709kg.

The e-crafter has been designed for urban use with a top speed of 50 mph (so far) powered by a 134 bhp electric motor with 290Nm of torque.

Volkswagen announced it was just a first step and that future versions may reach a 250+ miles autonomy.

The german brand said that a top speed increase is highly probable before its release
