Several city and county councils have shown some interest in investing into "zero emission" vans.

Is a "Green Revolution" on its way? Will it be dragged by local governments?

Lewes District council have unveilled their two newly-acquired fully electric vehicles that will boast efficiency levels and safety compliance.

These two electric vans have a range of 80 miles and can be topped up at charging points either in Lewes or Newhaven. The vans are both more spacious and are equipped with 360 degree cameras. These vehicles will replace the council's ageing fleet and will be operating in Seaford, Newhaven, Peacehaven, Telscombe and Lewes.
